What: The 2007 USPP Fall Century Ride

When: Sunday September 9th 2007 - 8:00 AM - We don't have a rain date so if the weather is horrible we'll save the route for another time.

Where: The ride begins and ends in the old Ames parking lot (now a Family Dollar store) on Winney Hill Rd near Steele St. where we have been starting the Hill Climb most of this year. Cue sheets will be distributed before the start of the ride.

The route will take us through parts of Otsego, Delaware, Schoharie and Greene Counties passing through parts of Oneonta, Emmons, Colliersville, Cooperstown Junction, Maryland, Schenevus, Stamford, Grand Gorge, past Minekill State Park, North Blenheim, Jefferson, Davenport, West Davenport and back to Oneonta.

Who: You and your cycling friends, you don't need to be a member of the Upper Susquehanna Pedalers and Paddlers to do this 100 mile ride.

Cost: For those riding with the main group please bring $2 per person to help pay for food and gas for the sag wagon.

Details: Helmets are required. All riders must sign a waiver of responsibility. Riders under 18 years of age must have signed parental consent forms. Fran Toombs will be driving the sag wagon and she will carry a cell phone. Some areas will have cell service and some will not - but it's worth a try if you have a problem and she isn't in sight. IMPORTANT CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR WILL BE REPEATED THIS YEAR - PLEASE NOTE: As usual there will be sag wagon support for riders who stay with the main group. In recent years some riders have ventured so far off the front of the group that the sag wagon could not drive from one end of the group to the other in a reasonable amount of time. If you want to do the route at top speed you are not going to have sag wagon support so please don't put articles in the sag wagon at the first or second stop and then expect them to be brought to you during the ride or at the end of the ride as soon as you arrive.

4.8 Emmons - Continue Straight on Rt 7E

13.6 Maryland - Continue Straight on Rt 7E
17.6 Schenevus - east end of village - R onto I-88 Access, Cty Rt 56. Go straight across I-88
18.8 L onto Co Rt 41 - Begin steep climb (If you're a Mountain Goat, you'll love this. If you're a Flatlander there's no shame in walking)
20.3 First Rest Stop in the pull-off area on the right.
22.1 Bear L onto Parks Hill Rd. CAUTION - Very steep, rough, long, curvy downhill with "T" intersection at bottom.

24.6 L onto St Rt 23 at stop sign. Continue on Rt 23 to Stamford.

65.8 Good road again - watch out for low shoulders.
